His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah ibni His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Her Royal Highness Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah binti Pengiran Haji Salleh Ab Rahaman yesterday attended a Chinese New Year open house at the residence of Pehin Kapitan Lela Diraja Dato Paduka Goh King Chin.
Their Royal Highnesses were accompanied by Yang Teramat Mulia Pengiran Muda ‘Abdul Muntaqim, Yang Teramat Mulia Pengiran Muda Muhammad Aiman and Yang Teramat Mulia Pengiran Anak Faathimah Az-Zahraa’ Raihaanul Bolkiah.
Upon arrival at Pehin Kapitan Lela Diraja Dato Paduka Goh King Chin’s residence in Kampong Sungai Besar Jalan Kota Batu, Their Royal Highnesses were greeted by the host and his spouse as well as his family members.
Their Royal Highnesses consented to a group photo with Pehin Kapitan Lela Diraja Dato Paduka Goh King Chin and his family and witnessed a lion dance performance during the visit.
Their Royal Highnesses also consented to visit the residence of another prominent businessman among the local Chinese community Jackson Ting.
Upon arrival at the Tings’ residence in Kampong Sungai Besar, Their Royal Highnesses were greeted by the host and his spouse, as well as his family members.
Their Royal Highnesses also joined in the tossing of the yee sang with members of the Ting family, as well as a group photo.
From Kampong Sungai Besar, Their Royal Highnesses consented to attend several Chinese New Year open houses at other prominent businessmen’s residences.
Among them was Bayu Ilham Managing Director Chieng Ing Nang’s residence in Kampong Jangsak. Their Royal Highnesses were greeted by Nang and his family members.
Also receiving Their Royal Highnesses was Ezy Printing Managing Director Dato Gilbert Tiong in Kampong Jerudong.
Goldmyne Hardware Store Managing Director Dato’ Sri Lau Kung Ching also had the honour to receive a visit by Their Royal Highnesses at his residence in Kampong Telanai.
After welcoming Their Royal Highnesses to his residence, Dato’ Sri Lau Kung Ching ushered Their Royal Highnesses to the dining hall where Their Royal Highnesses consented to join in the tossing of the yee sang and a group photo with Dato’ Sri Lau Kung Ching and his family.
Meanwhile, His Royal Highness Prince ‘Abdul Malik, Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Raabi’atul ‘Adawiyyah binti Pengiran Haji Bolkiah, Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Anak Muthee’ah Raayatul Bolqiah, Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Anak Fathiyyah Rafaahul Bolqiah and Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Anak Khaalishah Mishbaahul Bolqiah also visited Pehin Kapitan Lela Diraja Dato Paduka Goh King Chin’s residence.
His Royal Highness Prince ‘Abdul Malik and Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Raabi’atul ‘Adawiyyah and their children also visited the Ting residence, and also consented to perform the tossing of the yee sang with members of the Ting family, as well as a group photo.
