The Nationhood Unit of the Strategic Communications Division of the Information Department at the Prime Minister’s Office held a nationalism briefing programme on ‘Our King, Appreciating the National Flag and National Anthem of Brunei Darussalam’ for students of International School Brunei (ISB) yesterday.
The programme is one of the ongoing efforts of the department in instilling love for the monarch, religion, race and country. It is also aimed at strengthening solidarity and patriotism among students.
Among the 89 Year 7 students was Yang Teramat Mulia Pengiran Anak Muneerah Madhul Bolkiah binti Duli Yang Teramat Mulia Paduka Seri Pengiran Muda Mahkota Pengiran Muda Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah.
Head of the Community Unit at the Information Department Mohammad Azyzul Azman @ Rosman bin Yakub delivered the briefing that touched on His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, the proper procedure in hoisting the national flag and information about the national anthem. The briefing ended with the presentation of prizes to students who took part in the quizzes.
