His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah ibni His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office yesterday attended a football friendly match between DPMM FC and Kuching City FC at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium in Berakas.
Also present was His Royal Highness Prince ‘Abdul Malik.
The highly-entertaining friendly match ended in a 1-1 draw with James Okwuosa cancelling out new player Damir Muminovic’s goal.
The meeting marks a first match for both sides and a sparring session ahead of their return to the respective leagues.
The home side are preparing for the restart of the Singapore Premier League (SPL) when they entertain Lion City Sailors on January 13.
Meanwhile, visitors Kuching City FC will continue their push up the table in the Malaysia Super League when they travel to Petaling Jaya to face PDRM next Saturday. – Fadhil Yunus
