Royal wedding celebrations come to an end

The week-long ceremonies for the royal wedding of His Royal Highness Prince ‘Abdul Mateen and Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Anak Isteri Anisha Rosnah binti Adam officially came to an end following the Majlis Doa Selamat and Istiadat Menutup Gendang Jaga-Jaga at lstana Nurul Iman on Tuesday.

During the ceremony, Pehin Orang Kaya Johan Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Adanan was then instructed to confer with His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam; and sought His Majesty’s consent for the ceremony to commence.

The Istiadat Membaca Doa Selamat dan Menutup Gendang Jaga-Jaga ceremony then continued with the Dikir Syarafil Anam and the Ya Habibi” verse followed by 21 shots of the cannon.

 

The Awang-Awang entered the hall with the anchit containing perfume to be sprinkled on the palms of the guests.

Awang-Awang with the ‘anchit’ containing perfume sprinkes them on the hands of Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Lela Cheteria Sahibun Najabah Pengiran Anak Haji Abdul Aziz and guests.

This was then followed by the recitation of Doa Zikir by Begawan Pehin Khatib Dato Paduka Haji Awang Hamidon. 

To bless the ceremony, a Doa Selamat was read by Pehin Orang Kaya Paduka Seri Utama Dato Paduka Seri Setia Haji Awang Salim.

During the ceremony at Istana Nurul Iman, all the royal regalia were brought down at the Balai Pemajangan at the gates of the palace, as soon as the cannon shots were fired. – Adib Noor
