To mark the start of the 78th birthday celebrations of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, the giant-sized national flag was hoisted on Monday morning at the Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Complex’s open area.
Minister of Home Affairs Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Ahmaddin bin Haji Abdul Rahman as the guest of honour officiated the handing-over of the national flag measuring 3.7m × 7.5m
The giant flag was hoisted by personnel of the Royal Brunei Navy. – JAMES KON
