His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam attended a royal audience with Their Majesties King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua, King of Thailand and Queen Suthida Bajrasudhabimalalakshana at the Chakri Maha Prasat Throne Hall, Bangkok yesterday.
Accompanying His Majesty was His Royal Highness Prince ‘Abdul Mateen.
Upon arrival at the Chakri Maha Prasat Throne Hall, His Majesty was welcomed by President of the Privy Council General Surayud Chulanont and spouse. His Majesty then joined APEC economic leaders for the royal audience with His Majesty the King of Thailand and Her Majesty the Queen. Also present at the ceremony was Her Royal Highness Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajakanya.
APEC economic leaders are in Bangkok to attend the 29th APEC Economic Leader’s Meeting (AELM ) held yesterday and continues today. Earlier in the morning, the AELM Leaders attended the 29th AELM Retreat Session I and will convene today for the AELM Retreat Session II. Thailand as APEC Chair hosted the AELM three times, in 1992, 2003 and 2022.
This year’s AELM is the first physical meeting post-COVID-19.
