His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam yesterday presented Letters of Credence to newly appointed Brunei Darussalam envoys and received Letters of Credence from newly appointed foreign envoys to Brunei Darussalam.
His Majesty first presented Letters of Credence to High Commissioner of Brunei Darussalam to Pakistan Colonel (Rtd) Pengiran Haji Kamal Bashah bin Pengiran Haji Ahmad, and Ambassador of Brunei Darussalam to Laos Haji Roslan bin Haji Yacub.
His Majesty then received Letters of Credence from Ambassador of China to Brunei Darussalam Xiao Jianguo; Ambassador of Vietnam to Brunei Darussalam Tran Anh Vu; Ambassador of Indonesia to Brunei Darussalam Achmad Ubaedillah; High Commissioner of Singapore to Brunei Darussalam Laurence Bay Siow Hon; and Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Brunei Darussalam Mohammed Abdullah Al-Buraithin.
After the ceremonies, His Majesty received in audience the newly appointed envoys at Istana Nurul Iman.
Also present at the ceremonies was Minister of Foreign Affairs II Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Erywan bin Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Haji Mohd Yusof.
