The Rotary Club of Belait (RCB) welcomed the Rotary District Governor 2021-2022 of the Rotary International District 3310 Dolly Yeap during her goodwill visit to the Sultanate.
The contingent, comprising the District Governor accompanied by Assistant Governor Clement Yong, was welcomed by the Rotary Club of Belait President Henrietta Hiew.
Secretary Camille Chai, Club Admin cum Sergeant-at-arms Helen Tang and other members were also present.
The contingent visited a visually impaired man in a rural area of Labi, Ah Siew, at his wooden residence. The club has supported this senior citizen over the years as part of their ongoing project.
This includes the project where the club, in collaboration with Pan-EL Electrical and Engineering Sdn Bhd, installed a stand-alone solar panel system providing Ah Siew with electricity since 2013.
The club also conducts regular visits to ensure that the solar panel system is functioning and also provides necessities.
The next stop was the Luagan Lalak Recreation Park, Mendaram longhouse, and a fruit farm where they had lunch.
District Governor Dolly continued her visit to Seria Old Folks Home to present red envelopes, food, RCB fabric face masks and face towels.
