Rolling up sleeves for a good cause

Rokiah Mahmud

Over 60 employees from Borneo United Enterprise Sdn Bhd rolled up their sleeves to support a blood donation campaign held at the company’s building in Jalan Tanjung Bunut Kanan.

Managing Director Stanley Lim Hock Ghim was among the attendees.

The blood donation drive was part of the company’s corporate social responsibility to do its part in replenishing the stock of the national blood bank.

The campaign, held from May 25-26 from 9am to noon, was also joined by members of the public.

Meanwhile, the Blood Donation Centre is calling for the public to donate blood as the supply of all blood types needed for blood transfusions at public hospitals is running low.

The public is called on to make a donation at the Blood Donation Centre, Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha (RIPAS) Hospital or any nearby blood banks.

The Ministry of Health will also host blood donation campaigns at a number of locations: Maju Motors Sdn Bhd at The Mall, Gadong on May 28 from 10am to 2pm; and the Brunei Hokkien Association in Kiulap (above Fu Chow Restaurant) on May 29 from 9am to 11.30am.

Donors are encouraged to book a slot using the BloodKad app.
