Brunei Shell Marketing Company Sdn Bhd (BSM) is hosting a two-day Shell Experiential Roadshow over the weekend to raise public awareness on the ‘Untuk Pasaran Brunei’ stickers introduced recently.
It is held at OneCity Shopping Centre in Kampong Sungai Hanching from 10am to 9pm and ends today.
The stickers were introduced to assure the public of the purchase of genuine Shell Car Lubricant products. BSM also unveiled the new ‘Untuk Pasaran Brunei’ QR code stickers on Shell lubricants.
By scanning the QR code sticker on the bottles, customers can identify Shell lubricant products distributed by BSM and lubricants without this sticker might not have BSM’s endorsement unless verified.
The roadshow was launched by BSM’s Managing Director Muhammad Norshafiee bin Dato Paduka Haji Abdul Jalil yesterday.
Visitors can immerse themselves in Shell’s offerings through BSM, gaining insights into promotions such as the Rewarding Journeys with Shell and Shell Motorsport Collection. The Shell Helix Experiential booth features the technology behind the Shell Helix products. A Shell Helix product specialist will also share on car engine maintenance.
The Rewarding Journeys with Shell booth showcases the promotion from August 25 to November 25, 2023, offering customers who purchase selected Shell Helix or Shell Rimula lubricants during the period with exclusive Shell Merchandise gifts and an entry to the monthly prize draw in October and November.
Customers are entitled to one entry in the monthly prize draw for every purchase of the selected Shell lubricants during the promotion.
The promotion will conclude with a grand draw in December where participating customers stand a chance to win a trip for three to Dubai, including a visit to the prestigious Ferrari-branded theme park – Ferrari World Abu Dhabi.
Booth 4 covers Shell V-Power merchandise for customers to purchase. Booth 5 covers Retail Safety where customers will have the chance to learn more about the safety guideline at Shell retail stations, especially during refuelling with BSM staff on hand for customers to ask questions pertaining to safety at Shell retail stations.
Each guest will receive a redemption card, offering a chance to win Shell merchandise upon answering questions at the booths, where a dedicated gift redemption booth is set up at the end of the booth line.
Also taking place at the roadshow is the Master Mechanics programme training, kicking off alongside the Shell Experiential area, where some participants will be attending classes as part of their upskilling learnings and preparation.
The programme is a unique learning and certification initiative designed to upskill the knowledge and skills of automobile mechanics practicing in Brunei.
It offers benefits for participants, including upskilling through Shell Workshop Academy online modules and improvement of knowledge and recommendation skills, particularly on the use of lubricant products.
The Master Mechanics programme mirrors a larger ambition to drive industry growth and empower mechanics to make substantial contributions to the nation’s economy.
Programme participants will be given the opportunity to refine their skills through the Shell Workshop Academy, gaining insights into the quality standards of Shell lubricants.
They will be evaluated through practical challenges and quizzes where the top performers will be given advanced training and the opportunity to develop a sustainable business plan with support through BSM Business partner ecosystem.
The BSM Business partner ecosystem includes Shell Helix Branded workshop programmes where the Shell Helix Branded Workshop provides support in terms of asset investment and start-up materials.
A platform for participants who prefer to do the Shell Workshop Academy training face-to face is also provided at the roadshow.
Also conducted at the event is job matching opportunities facilitated by BSM and BSM Business partners and the chance to compete for the country title of ‘Star Shell Master Mechanic’ with prizes including an all-expenses-paid trip to the 2023 Moto GP event sponsored by Shell, along with cash rewards.
Open to automobile mechanics working as part of the engagement strategy, BSM has also engaged with Institute of Brunei Technical Education Mechanical Campus to raise awareness about the programme and, to date, received over 500 registrations.
BSM will continue to provide knowledge on safety guidelines at Shell retail stations, especially during refuelling.
The public is welcome to ask questions at the retail safety booth with regard to safety in general. – Lyna Mohamad
