A roadshow to disseminate information on the new academic session at Institut Tahfiz Al-Quran Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah (ITQSHHB) was held in Tutong District on Wednesday.
ITQSHHB Deputy Principal of Academic Haji Mohammad Sujairi bin Haji Dollah and Deputy Principal Students Affairs Haji Mohammad Khairil Faizal bin Haji Awang Bakar were present.
The roadshow, held at the Pengiran Anak Haji Mohamed Alam Mosque in Kampong Sengkarai Tutong, aimed to introduce ITQSHHB and provide an opportunity to students who have the potential to memorise Al-Quran to be Al-Huffaz (Al-Quran memoriser) as well as other subjects including Islamic studies, science and technology.
Participants were briefed on ITQSHHB’s background, information for new intake enrolment (secondary level), interview format, privilege of being Al-Huffaz, methods in memorising Al-Quran and a mini exhibition on ITQSHHB.
Teachers, staff and students from Penanjong Religious School, Keriam Religious School and Sengkarai Religious School, as well as 46 students from Ma’had Islam Brunei joined the event.
The roadshow began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and a video presentation on Al-Quran recitation and ITQSHHB.
It continued with a memorising activity followed by a question-and-answer session.
The event concluded with the presentation of souvenir from Haji Mohammad Khairil Faizal to Pengiran Anak Haji Mohammed Alam Mosque Imam Abdul Hafiy bin Yahya.
Registration for ITQSHHB’s new intake for academic session 1444 Hijrah/2022 is open until August 13.
