Roadblock uncovers several offences

Seven road traffic and other offences were recorded during a roadblock dubbed ‘Ops Sepadu’ in Belait District recently.

Fifty-three personnel from Panaga Police Station, Seria Police Station, the Traffic Control and Investigation Department, the Royal Customs and Excise Department (RCED), the Narcotics Control Bureau and the Land Transport Department (JPD) were involved.

The JPD recorded seven offences violating Chapter 68 of the Road Traffic Act, while the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) issued 10 compound fines. The RCED found two offences violating the Excise Order 2006.

The operation was led by Belait Police Station Traffic Investigation Officer Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Alvin Goh.
