Rise in fourth dose vaccinations

The coverage rate in the Sultanate for those who have received the fourth dose of the COVID-19 vaccine continued to rise with 14.9 per cent of the population receiving the vaccination.

The overall coverage rate for three doses for the country’s citizens and residents has reached 72.9 per cent.

The latest details of vaccination in the country was revealed by the Ministry of Health’s daily statement on the COVID-19 situation in the country.

Meanwhile, for children aged five to 11 who have received two doses of the vaccine coverage rate is 74 per cent, while for three doses is 49.6 per cent.

No COVID-19 fatalities were reported in the last 24 hours.

The ministry also stated that one case in Category 5 requires treatment at the intensive care unit, while three cases in Category 4 requiring respiratory assistance are under close monitoring.

Some 744 cases have recovered, bringing the total number of recoveries to 158,411.
