    Revamped 30th Consumer Fair showcases regional and global opportunities

    The 30th Consumer Fair & Trade Expo, a hallmark event in Brunei Darussalam’s efforts toward economic diversification, was officially launched on Wednesday by Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Finance and Economy II Dato Seri Setia Dr Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew Bin Abdullah.

    Held at the International Convention Centre (ICC), the launch ceremony brought together dignitaries, industry leaders, exhibitors, and members of the public to mark the rebranded event, now positioned as a platform for trade, business collaboration, and economic growth.

    The expo features participants from various countries, including Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, India, Bangladesh, and the Philippines. Two key highlights include the Wonderful Indonesia Expo and the Mega India Expo, offering unique cultural showcases, products, and trade opportunities from these nations.

    In her welcoming remarks, Head of Corporate Communications at D’Sunlit Sdn Bhd Ms. Chuisan Ting, emphasised the significance of the event’s transformation into a hub for business engagements and regional collaborations. She also reflected on the fair’s meaningful history and its impact on her family and the community.

    Following the launch ceremony, the inaugural Consumer Fair Conference (CONFAC25) was held at the ICC’s Press Conference Hall, featuring discussions on pivotal trade and innovation topics by industry experts and stakeholders.

    The five-day event, running from January 15 to 19, features a diverse range of exhibitors, business matchmaking opportunities, and interactive activities aimed at promoting economic diversification and strengthening regional partnerships.

    In support of environmental sustainability, the public is encouraged to bring reusable bags for their shopping needs. CF edition recyclable bags will also be available for purchase at the event.
