Retirees should continue contributing to Brunei Vision 2035

Retirees are urged to support government policies and work together towards His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam’s aspiration for Brunei Vision 2035.

Acting Permanent Secretary (Fiscal I) at the Ministry of Finance and Economy (MoFE) Haji Asrul Adrain bin Pehin Orang Kaya Setia Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Ahmad said this during a speech at a retirement gifts presentation ceremony for the MoFE yesterday.

Haji Asrul Adrain said, “There are many colourful experiences during a civil servant’s tenure and I am sure the retirees’ knowledge, integrity and discipline can be emulated by the newer generations.”

Some 45 officers and staff who retired from MoFE in 2021 received recognition for their long service at the event organised by MoFE’s Human Resource Development and Corporate Affairs Division.

Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Finance and Economy II Dato Seri Setia Dr Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah presented the gifts.

The ceremony was held to show appreciation to the retirees and foster ties among them and current employees at MoFE.
