Restaurants shouldn’t jump on digital bandwagon

I believe that among the worst changes brought on by digitalisation is digital menu.

It forces customers to order through an app, even when they are dining in, instead of having waiters to take the orders.

It is sad to see more and more restaurants joining the trend of moving to using a digital menu.

While it means restaurants have a way to cut cost, it is also inconvenient for customers, especially those who are not as keen on the lack of social interaction.

To me, dining in a restaurant with my family means spending quality time with them, and not be yet another aspect of life where we have to use our smartphones.
