Residents of Mukim Kilanas began casting their votes to elect the new penghulu at the Mukim Kilanas Community Hall yesterday.
The only candidate for the post is Mahri bin Latif.
The three-day event, organised by the Brunei-Muara District Office, is conducted using ballot papers and PMKK e-Voting application until tomorrow, where the result will be announced.
The registration of voters was done through the acting village head of Kampong Kilanas and will close tomorrow.
It can also be made during the event and voters are reminded to bring their original identity card while uniformed personnel are advised to bring their driver’s licence.
Meanwhile,the ‘PMKK e -Voting’ registration has already closed.
