The Embassy of Islamic Republic of Iran (I.R.Iran) in Brunei Darussalam celebrated the 44th anniversary of Islamic Republic of Iran’s Islamic Revolution at the Royal Berkshire Hall, Royal Brunei Polo and Riding Club last night.
Present as the guest of honour and representative of the Government of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam was Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Nazmi bin Haji Mohamad.
The reception began with national anthems of Brunei Darussalam and I.R.Iran.
Ambassador of the I.R.Iran to Brunei Darussalam Homeira Rigi Zirouki delivered a speech followed by a video presentation and cake-cutting ceremony joined by the guest of honour. The event continued with a performance by children of Pusat Ehsan Al-Ameerah Al-Hajjah Maryam and a handover of donation to the non-profit organisation.
