The public can now have daily access to the Religious Services Unit at Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha (RIPAS) Hospital on the Lobby 5, Ward Complex, the Ministry of Health (MoH) announced.
The service is available from Monday to Thursday and Saturday, from 7.45am to 12.15pm and 1.30pm to 10pm; while on Friday, from 7am to noon and 2pm to 10pm. On Sunday, the service is available from 7am to 10pm.
The unit provides services to guide family members in dealing with terminally ill and dying patients; reciting Doa Selamat, performing Sunnat Hajat prayers and others if required by the patient or the patient’s family.
Services also include performing Azan and Iqamat for newborns, providing Islamic treatment in the wards; providing assistance to patients for ablution, tayammum and prayer.
The unit also helps with patients’ questions and concerns regarding to Syariah Law and Islamic views and provide advisory services according to an Islamic perspective.
Apart from meeting with the officers, the public can also request services by calling 2242424 ext 3333 or informing the nurses on duty in the wards. – Azlan Othman
