The Alumni Association of Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA) through its Tarbiyah Unit, in collaboration with the Brunei Darussalam Student’s Wellbeing Body in Egypt (BKPBDM), held an Ukhuwah forum via Zoom and Facebook last Friday to commemorate Nuzul Al-Quran.

The first-of-its-kind programme aimed to encourage participants to appreciate Al-Quran, seen as a guide to a Muslim’s way of life and to enhance religious knowledge, while enlivening Nuzul Al-Quran celebration.

UNISSA Alumni Association President Muhammad Dzulhilmi bin Haji Moharefandi and BKPBDM President Areezie Arzan bin Haji Abdullah attended, along with members of the UNISSA’s Alumni Association and BKPBDM.

The event featured UNISSA alumni association member Haji Md Nur Ihsan bin Haji Mat Jali as chair and moderator, and Year 4 student of Syu’bah Usuluddin Hadith at Universiti Al-Azhar Siti Zulaiha binti Empudin and lecturer at the Faculty of Shariah and Law of UNISSA Dr Hafini bin Mahmud as panellists.

The event also saw the presentation of certificates of appreciation to committee members for organising the event.

The event aimed to foster closer ties between the alumni and students, and pave the way for more collaborations in the future.
