Ministry of Health
The Ministry of Health organised a Tedarus Al-Quran, Tahlil and Doa Arwah ceremony yesterday.
The event began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah led by Minister of Health Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar and mass recitation of Tedarus Al-Quran.
This was followed with the recitation of Tahlil and Doa Arwah for Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Muhammad Jamalul Alam and Al-Marhumah Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Damit binti Al-Marhum Pengiran Bendahara Pengiran Anak Abdul Rahman, the late parents of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, and for His Majesty’s late son Al-Marhum His Royal Highness Prince Haji ‘Abdul ‘Azim.
The event at Suri Seri Begawan Hospital in Kuala Belait also saw the minister presenting donations to 11 orphans.
The hospital’s Acting Chief Executive Officer Mohamad Alikhan bin Haji Mohd Yakop and Acting Director General of Medical and Health Services Pengiran Dr Haji Mohd Khalifah bin Pengiran Haji Ismail were present. – Daniel Lim
Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism
The Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism (MPRT) organised a Khatam Al-Quran at Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Damit Mosque recently.
The event began with Minister of Primary Resources and Tourism Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Abdul Manaf bin Haji Metussin presenting a waqaf of a chest freezer to Imam Adee Aiman bin Haji Muhidin.
It continued with a Tedarus Al-Quran and recitation of Doa Khatam by Imam Adee Aiman followed by iftar and Maghrib prayer.
Acting Permanent Secretary at the MPRT Hajah Dahliana binti Haji Aliakbar and Deputy Permanent Secretary I at the MPRT Haji Mohd Yusree bin Haji Junaidi were present. – Lyna Mohamad
Royal Brunei Culinary
Royal Brunei Culinary (RBC) organised a Tahlil and Surah Yaasiin ceremony for Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Muhammad Jamalul Alam and Al-Marhumah Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Damit binti Al-Marhum Pengiran Bendahara Pengiran Anak Abdul Rahman, the late parents of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, and for His Majesty’s late son Al-Marhum His Royal Highness Prince Haji ‘Abdul ‘Azim at the Royal Mausoleum on Tuesday.
The event began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and Surah Yaasiin followed by Tahlil led by Imam Muhammad Amin bin Haji Salim.

Department of Mosque Affairs and Kampong Penanjong Mosque Committee
The Department of Mosque Affairs’ Muslim Affairs Division and Kampong Penanjong Mosque Takmir Committee organised a Khatam Al-Quran for women guidance classes nationwide recently. The event, held in conjunction with Ramadhan, encouraged Muslim women to recite Al-Quran as well as strengthen ties among the participants.
