His Royal Highness Prince ‘Abdul Malik, Chairman of the Committee of Governors of Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah (Yayasan), attended the 30 Times Khatam Al-Quran ceremony in conjunction with Yayasan’s 30th anniversary at An-Naura Hall of the Yayasan Complex in the capital yesterday.
On arrival, His Royal Highness Prince ‘Abdul Malik was greeted by Minister of Religious Affairs Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman and Minister of Foreign Affairs II Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Erywan bin Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Haji Mohd Yusof as members of the Committee of Governors of Yayasan, Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Defence II Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Yayasan, Minister of Health Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar as Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of Yayasan and Permanent Secretary (Planning, Land Use and Environment) at the Ministry of Development Dr Nor Imtihan binti Haji Abdul Razak as the Acting Managing Director of Yayasan.
The ceremony commenced with the recitation of Takhtim led by Yayasan Officer Ahmad Rithaudin bin Haji Sabtu.
Some 30 officers and staff of Yayasan completed 30 Juzuk of Al-Quran recitation.
Chief Syar’ie Judge Pehin Orang Kaya Paduka Seri Utama Dato Paduka Seri Setia Haji Awang Salim bin Haji Besar led the recitation of Doa Khatam and Doa Selamat, as well as mass Maghrib prayer.
