A Surah Yaasiin and Tahlil recitation ceremony was held in honour of Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Muhammad Jamalul Alam and Al-Marhumah Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Damit binti Al-Marhum Pengiran Bendahara Pengiran Anak Abdul Rahman, the late parents of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, and for His Majesty’s late son Al-Marhum His Royal Highness Prince Haji ‘Abdul ‘Azim at the Royal Mausoleum, Jalan Kubah Makam Diraja yesterday, as part of the 19th National Youth Day celebration.
Permanent secretaries at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, directors as well as officers and staff from the ministry were among those present.
Members of the executive committee for the 19th National Youth Day celebration also attended.
The event saw the participation of members from youth and sports associations, mosque youth groups and stakeholders.
The executive committee for the 19th National Youth Day celebration invites the public, especially youth and youth leaders, to participate in the National Youth Day Exhibition on August 7-8 at the International Convention Centre in Berakas. – Fadley Faisal
