The Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports held a Doa Kesyukuran ceremony to mark International Volunteer Day 2023 at the Ash-Shaliheen Mosque yesterday.
The event saw a Selawat Tafrijiyyah, a religious talk, Doa Kesyukuran, Doa Peliharakan Sultan dan Negara Brunei Darussalam as well as prayers for the well-being of the Palestinian people and COVID-19 mitigation.
Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Nazmi bin Haji Mohamad was the guest of honour.
Permanent Secretary (Sports) at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports (MCYS) Pengiran Mohd Amirrizal bin Pengiran Haji Mahmud, Permanent Secretary (Youth) at the MCYS Haji Zakaria bin Haji Serudin and senior officials at the ministry, youth associations and movements as well as mosque youth were also present.
Other activities to mark International Volunteer Day 2023 include a Volunteer Day Festival from today to Sunday at Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium, Day of Action on Sunday and a Volunteer Activities Marathon that began on November 20 and will conclude on January 31, 2024. – Azlan Othman
