A recitation of Surah Yaasiin and Doa Selamat was held nationwide yesterday to mark the 30th Civil Service Day.
In the Belait District, the ceremony was held at RPN Kampong Pandan Mosque attended by Minister of Health Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar and Minister of Development Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Muhammad Juanda bin Haji Abdul Rashid.
The ceremony started following mass Asar prayer and the recitation of Surah Yaasiin and Doa Khas led by Mosque Affairs Officer at RPN Kampong Pandan Mosque Abdul Qayyum bin Haji Aminuddin.
Deputy Minister (Energy) at the Prime Minister’s Office Dato Seri Paduka Awang Haji Matsatejo bin Sokiaw, Legislative Council members Yang Berhormat Haji Mohd Salleh bin Haji Othman as Penghulu of Mukim Bukit Sawat, and Yang Berhormat Mohammad bin Abdullah @ Lim Swee Ann as Village Head of Kampong Bukit Sawat; Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Health Haji Maswadi bin Haji Mohsin, Permanent Secretary (Culture) at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports Pengiran Haji Mohd Hasnan bin Pengiran Haji Ali Hassan and Acting Belait District Officer Haji Amirol Hafidzin bin Haji Muhammad as well as penghulus, village heads and Belait residents were also present. – Daniel Lim
