The Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) held a ceremony for the opening of Dikir Syarafil Anam in conjunction with Maulidur Rasul celebration on Monday night.
The guest of honour was Commissioner of the RBPF Dato Paduka Seri Haji Mohammad Irwan bin Haji Hambali and spouse, Pengiran Datin Hajah Zauyah binti Pengiran Haji Sulaiman as the President of the Welfare Body of Police’s Wives and Families (PEKERTI).
Deputy Commissioner of the RBPF Dato Seri Pahlawan Sulaiman bin Alidin and spouse, Superintendent Mohamad Amiruddin bin Haji Tunjang as the Chairman of Islamic Religious Body of the RBPF, department directors, senior officials, officers and lower rank personnel of RBPF as well as PEKERTI members were also present.
Meanwhile, the Student Affairs’ Office assisted by the Religious and Surau MPP Takmir Committee Unit of Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA) held a religious ceremony at Surau Al-Syafi’i on Monday night.
Rector of UNISSA Dr Haji Norarfan bin Haji Zainal was the guest of honour.
The ceremony commenced with mass Maghrib prayer followed by Dikir starting with Assalamualaika. After mass Isyak prayer, the ceremony continued with Dikir Asyraqal and Doa.
A similar event was also held at Jubli Perak Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mosque in Kampong Jangsak.
