The Ministry of Home Affairs organised a Dikir ceremony, in conjunction with the Prophet Muhammad’s (pbuh) birthday anniversary, at Kampong Katimahar Mosque yesterday.
Minister of Home Affairs Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Ahmaddin bin Haji Abdul Rahman was the guest of honour.
Permanent secretaries and deputy permanent secretaries, heads of departments, senior officers and staff at the ministry, penghulus, village heads, mosque takmir committee members as well as mukim and village consultative council members were also present.
A similar event was also held at Universiti Brunei Darussalam Mosque by the Ministry of Development (MoD) on Wednesday.
Minister of Development Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Muhammad Juanda bin Haji Abdul Rashid attended as the guest of honour.
Permanent Secretary (Infrastructure, Housing and Professional) at the MoD Ir Haji Amer Hishamuddin bin Pehin Orang Kaya Amar Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Haji Zakaria, heads of department and division, senior officers, officers and staff from the MoD. The ceremony began after a mass Maghrib prayer with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah led by the minister followed by Dikir Maulud.
Meanwhile, a delegation from the Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA) continued its Ihya Maulidur Rasul on Wednesday at Pekan Seria Mosque.
Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Mohd Tashim bin Pengiran Haji Hassan led the delegation.
