Registration opens for nominees of National Youth Day Awards

The Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports (MCYS) through the Youth and Sports Department announced that the nomination form for the National Youth Day Award 2024, in conjunction with the 19th National Youth Day celebration is available via the link http://tiny.cc/AHBK2024.

The application procedure and information can also be obtained through the link https://tinyurl.com/Infopek-AHBK-2024 and the National Youth Day Award portal at http://www.belia-sukan.gov.bn.

The award is a recognition and appreciation for the youth movement in the Sultanate in responding to the titah and wishes of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam in making the youth an asset that needs to be focused on and appreciated.

This proves that the youth group has never been neglected by the government with full attention on youth development. The availability of facilities and infrastructure provides proof that the well-being and needs of the youth are being safeguarded.

The recognition is a platform and a manifestation in supporting the efforts of the youth in developing and maintaining the spirit of volunteerism among the community.

Voluntary youth involvement was touched upon in His Majesty’s titah on August 1, 2006, in conjunction with the first National Youth Day celebration.
