The Immigration and National Registration Department (INRD) will open its counters for new registration, renewal, and replacements of damaged or lost identification card (IC) from September 19.
This is specific to yellow and purple ICs only.
Members of the public can book an appointment via the QueUp mobile application or walk-in to the headquarters, or via walk-in at other department branches.
The INRD informed that separate registration counters will be open for Yellow IC holders, who registered on February 17 to August 9, and Purple IC holders, who registered on July 12 to August 9. Those yet to have their cards issued are required to go to the Identification Card Division to get their fingerprints and facial photographs to meet the requirements of the new system.
