The Brunei Darussalam Red Crescent Society hosted the 1st Southeast Asia First Aid Network (SEAFAN) Meeting which concluded with a dinner at Wafa Hotel, Beribi recently.
Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Health Haji Maswadi bin Haji Mohsin was the guest of honour.
The three-day meeting saw the adoption of Bandar Seri Begawan Joint Resolution covering several resolutions including the establishment of the Southeast Asia First Aid Excellence Centre, formation of a unified first aid community through the SEAFAN and other collaborative works.
National Red Cross and Red Crescent societies in Southeast Asia also reaffirmed their commitment to solidarity, cooperation and humanitarian principles. – Lyna Mohamad
