Green Brunei is set to hold a recycling drive at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium tomorrow, from 8.30am to 1.30pm.
The event aims to encourage the public to practise recycling and reduce the volume of solid waste in landfills.
Items that are accepted are paper, books, plastic bottles, aluminium items, newspapers, cardboard boxes, metal (rinsed out and emptied) and electronic waste (computer waste, monitor, printer and laptop).
“The recycling drive does not accept plastic bags, plastic wrap, plastic containers, glass, styrofoam and glossy paper,” said Green Brunei in a statement yesterday.
Green Brunei has collected 213,687 kilogrammes of recyclables.
