Green Depot will host their eighth recycling drive at the Belait District Office in Seria tomorrow from 9am to noon. Members of the public can bring their recyclables to partake in the event.
The recyclable items include paper, cardboard, metal, aluminium and electronic waste.
The event’s goal is to enable people to recycle and reduce the volume of solid waste reaching landfills.
Users can register to track their recycling records online and obtain monetary rewards on the website at http://recover.green-brunei.com. Green Depot, as a project under Green Brunei and supported by Brunei Shell Petroleum Company Sdn Bhd, aims to contribute to the vision and objective of the nation to transition towards a zero waste lifestyle.
It was founded in December 2018 to facilitate better waste management efforts while offering money-saving habits for communities to save by recycling. It has managed to gather over 76,000 kilogrammes of recyclables from more than 1,300 users since its foundation.
