RBPF holds ceremony to mark safe return of pilgrims

The Islamic religious body of the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) organised an Ilal Hijrah 1445 celebration and Doa Kesyukuran for the safe return of its haj pilgrims at the RBPF headquarters’ surau in Gadong.

RBPF Commissioner Dato Paduka Seri Haji Mohammad Irwan bin Haji Hambali was the guest of honour.

The ceremony began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah led by Imam of the RBPF Headquarters’ surau Mohd Yusri bin Haji Abu Bakar.

The event also saw a religious talk on ‘Hijrah dan Cabaran Masa Kini’ by Ra’es of Religious Teachers University College of Seri Begawan Dr Haji Adanan bin Haji Basar on the great war events in Islamic history.

Among the lessons that can derived from the events, said Dr Haji Adanan, is realising the importance of obeying the leader’s instructions for success and blessing during a battle. The ceremony proceeded with a Dikir Marhaban to celebrate the safe return of RBPF haj pilgrims before concluding with a Doa Selamat.

Also in attendance were RBPF Deputy Commissioner Dato Seri Pahlawan Sulaiman bin Alidin as well as directors, deputy director, RBPF senior officers and staff. – James Kon
