RBPF badminton contest concludes

A badminton competition for Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) rank-and-file personnel concluded at Hassanal Bolkiah Stadium, Police Headquarters in Gadong on Monday.

The final day of the competition, organised by RBPF Sports Council, saw matches for Veteran Men’s Doubles, Women’s Doubles and Men’s Doubles Open.

In the Men’s Veteran Doubles, the paring of Staf/Sjn 2765 Muhd Nadzrin Abdullah and Staf/Sjn 3982 Haji Zainal Abidin bin Haji Abdul Ghani defected Sjn 2842 Repin bin Haji Angkis and Kpl 4242 Ashrin Shamsul and emerged as champion.

While, W.Sjn 5143 Noor Nekma Rainah binti Haji Rosley with her partner W.APO/L/Kpl 6853 Mas Susilawati binti Haji Sulaiman became the champion for the Women’s Doubles Open by overcoming W.Kpl 4917 Siti Norasmah binti Safar and W.APO 6852 Norkhafizah.

For the finals of the Men’s Doubles Open, the partnership of Sjn 2842 Repin bin Haji Angkis and L/Kpl 4861 Muhammad Zuhar bin Hamir claimed first place after defeating the double team of PC 6526 Nur Erdy bin Mohammad Dily Alias and PC 6528 Zulhilmi bin Abdul Aziz.

Police Commissioner Dato Paduka Seri Haji Mohammad Irwan bin Haji Hambali presented the prizes.

Deputy Police Commissioner Sulaiman bin Alidin, chairpersons of branches as well as officers and staff of the RBPF were also present.
