The first Intake of the Women’s Company, Royal Brunei Armed Forces held a reunion with their former instructors to commemorate their 41st anniversary.
The Women’s Company was established on September 21, 1981.
The reunion was initiated to foster and strengthen the bonds of comradeship as well as to reminisce and appreciate the services and knowledge shared by instructors who guided and taught them basic military science in the theoretical and practical fields.
In her welcoming speech, WO1 (Rtd) Hajah Siti Sarawati binti Haji Ahmad recalled memories as well as hardships they endured and experienced throughout their recruit training. Self-identity, strong discipline and mental endurance were instilled in them to overcome and face the challenges while undergoing the recruit training, she said.
