RBAF marks 62nd anniversary with Tahlil at Royal Mausoleum

In conjunction with Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) 62nd anniversary, the Ministry of Defence (MinDef) and Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) held a recitation of Surah Yaasiin and Tahlil for Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Muhammad Jamalul Alam and Al-Marhumah Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Damit binti Al-Marhum Pengiran Bendahara Pengiran Anak Abdul Rahman, the late parents of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam; and for His Majesty’s late son Al-Marhum His Royal Highness Prince Haji ‘Abdul ‘Azim.

The ceremony at the Royal Mausoleum was attended by Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Defence II Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof. Also present were Commander of the RBAF Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Muhammad Haszaimi bin Bol Hassan, acting permanent secretary at the MinDef, service commanders, Joint Force Commander RBAF, deputy permanent secretaries at the MinDef, senior officers, officers as well as personnel of the MinDef and the RBAF.

The ceremony began with the recitation of Surah Yaasiin and Tahlil followed by Doa Tahlil and Doa Peliharakan Sultan dan Negara Brunei Darussalam. The ceremony ended with the recitation of Surah Al-Asr and Tasbih Kaffarah led by Staff Officer Grade One Religious Training from the RBAF Religious Directorate (JAMA’AT) Major Ariffin bin Amit @ Hamid.

The ceremony signified the start of various activities planned for RBAF’s 62nd anniversary on May 31.
