The Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) on Friday handed over a new funeral rites room at Kampong Selangan Mosque in the Temburong District as part of its charity project.

The ceremony was attended by Joint Force Commander of the RBAF Brigadier General (U) Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Alirupendi bin Haji Perudin, and Temburong District Officer Pengiran Muhammad Ameer Mubaarak bin Pengiran Haji Hashim. The project, commenced on December 15 2022 led by the Combat Engineer Squadron of the Support Battalion Royal Brunei Land Force, focussed on constructing a new separate room for the public to perform funeral rites.

To mark the completion and official handover of the room, a plaque was presented by Brigadier General (U) Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Alirupendi to Pengiran Muhammad Ameer Mubaarak.

The charitable effort was one of RBAF’s social responsibilities in reaching out to the public and easing the daily lives of the community.
