RB relaunches direct flights to Taipei

Royal Brunei Airlines (RB) is gearing towards the relaunch of its direct flights to Taipei from January 1, 2023 as part of its summer schedule.

RB’s Taipei flight will return with a twice-weekly schedule from January until March next year and increase the frequency to three flights a week.

“When RB relaunched direct flights to Taipei in 2018, we foresaw that it would be a key tourism market for the Sultanate as well as one of the major contributors to our network. This was evident in 2019 as Brunei saw six-fold increase in visitors from Taiwan to the country as well as a 50-per-cent increase in the number of Bruneians travelling to Taiwan.

“As we work to regrow our network and rebuild the tourism industry, we are pleased to relaunch our direct flights to Taipei at the start of 2023.

“Taiwan has been a very popular travel destination for Muslim travellers due to easy access to prayer rooms and an abundance of halal-friendly eateries,” said RB Chief Executive Officer Captain Sabirin bin Haji Abdul Hamid.
