Royal Brunei Airlines (RB) resumed flights between Dubai and London following a major electricity disruption at Heathrow Airport.
The outage, caused by a fire at a nearby electricity substation on Friday, led to widespread flight cancellations and disrupted travel plans for hundreds of thousands of passengers worldwide.
RB confirmed that two flights were affected: BI97 from Dubai to London and BI98 from London to Dubai.
Services resumed yesterday, with the airline assuring passengers that any further updates would be communicated accordingly.
Meanwhile, Heathrow Airport has restored power and allocated space for additional flights, though it may take days to get stranded passengers to their destinations and reposition displaced aircraft. – James Kon
