Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB) hosted a Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration at the UTB multi-purpose Hall on Saturday.
The event commenced with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah by Head of the Religious Unit at UTB Md Fazalley bin Haji Hidup.
A line-up of cultural performances, including a traditional gulingtangan presentation and a special Hari Raya video ‘UTB Raya 2025’ were showcased. The celebration concluded with a best-dressed award presentation.
Themed ‘Raya Mendonia’, the gathering brought together staff, students and guests in a display of unity and cultural appreciation.
UTB Acting Vice-Chancellor Dr Mohamad Saiful bin Haji Omar was the guest of honour.
Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) Vice-Chancellor Dr Hazri bin Haji Kifle, Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA) Rector Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Norarfan bin Haji Zainal, UBD Assistant Vice-Chancellor (Global Engagement) Dr Teo Siew Yean, UBD Assistant Vice-Chancellor (Education) Associate Professor Pengiran Dr Mohamad Iskandar bin Pengiran Haji Petra, Acting Deputy Rector (Policy and Corporate) at UNISSA Dr Haji Arman bin Haji Asmad, Assistant Rector (Research, International and Service) at UNISSA Dr Awang Haji Hambali bin Haji Awang Jaili and Politeknik Brunei Assistant Director (Corporate, Planning and Development) Arbaniah binti Haji Sablee were among the guests from Brunei’s higher education institutions.
UTB Assistant Vice-Chancellor (Academic Affairs) Dr Hajah Ena Kartina binti Haji Abdul Rahman; UTB Assistant Vice-Chancellor (Research and Innovation) Professor Dr Mohamed Hasnain Isa; and UTB Assistant Vice-Chancellor (Student, Alumni and Services) Dr Au Thien Wan were also present.
