The Brunei-Muara District Office, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MoHA) and the Brunei Youth Council, supported by Projek #INFAQ1, jointly distributed donations to seven families in Mukim Lumapas and Mukim Sengkurong under the Ihsan programme.
Minister of Home Affairs Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Ahmaddin bin Haji Abdul Rahman leading the delegation as the guest of honour, handed over the donations.
The programme aimed to ease the burden of the underprivileged ahead of the Hari Raya Aidilfitri festivities. The donation comprised basic necessities, festive hampers and cash. A few families also received electronic and baby items.
Legislative Council members Yang Berhormat Amran bin Haji Maidin, Yang Berhormat Zainol bin Mohamed and Yang Berhormat Mohammad Ali bin Tanjong as well as Permanent Secretary (Municipal and District) at the MoHA Abdul Walid bin Haji Matassan, Acting Brunei-Muara District Officer Pengiran Muhammad Ameer Mubaarak bin Pengiran Haji Hashim and Brunei Youth Council President Khairunnisa binti Haji Ash’ari were also present.
