Kampong Sungai Bunga Village Consultative Council (MPK) in cooperation with the Brunei-Muara District Office officially launched the inaugural Aidilfitri Bazaar Expo at Rimba Point, Gadong yesterday.
Assistant Brunei-Muara District Officer Haji Amirol Hafidzin bin Haji Mohammad was the guest of honour.
The event began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and Doa led by the Imam of Kampong Sungai Bungai Mosque Pengiran Haji Mohd Fadzillah bin Pengiran Mahmud.
It was followed by the guest of honour handing over donations to 30 orphans from Kampong Sungai Bunga.
The event continued with a ribbon-cutting ceremony to officiate the bazaar followed by Haji Amirol Hafidzin’s tour of the venue.
The guest of honour also visited the Santai Food Park – MPK Kampong Sungai Bunga’s special bazaar at Unit EG8.
MPK Kampong Sungai Bunga is continuously carrying out economic activities to produce a variety of products under the One Village One Product (1K1P) programme. They also enhance the members’ skills through courses and training within the country or overseas in various fields.
The expo was aimed at giving MPK Kampong Sungai Bunga members and partners the chance to showcase and promote 1K1P products; gain experience in event management; and aid entrepreneurs in earning an income during Ramadhan.
