In efforts to further strengthen ties among former students of Anthony Abell College Seria (AAC), a group of former students held a Hari Raya Aidilfitri gathering at Higher Hotel in Kiulap yesterday.
Among those present was Legislative Council (LegCo) member and former minister of development Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Indera Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Haji Awang Suyoi bin Haji Osman, who is also a former AAC student.
The event saw 115 alumni along with their family members take advantage of the event to catch up with old school mates as most of them had not seen each other since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Yesterday’s event began with the recitation of Doa Tahlil for the alumni who had passed away.
The last gathering that the group had organised was in 2018 at Tarindak D’Polo Jerudong.

Religious Teachers University College of Seri Begawan (KUPU SB) held an Ihya ‘Eid Mubarak yesterday at Tarbiyah Hall.
Ra’es of KUPU SB Dr Haji Adanan bin Haji Basar was the guest of honour. Acting Deputy Ra’es, Dr Haji Abang Hadzmin bin Haji Abang Taha; Acting Assistant Ra’es Dr Hajah Norwati binti Haji Abu Bakar, officers, lecturers, officers and staff as well as students of KUPU SB were also present.
The ceremony saw a presentation of donations to 15 orphans at KUPU SB as well as schools represented by the Ra’es of KUPU SB. Among the objectives of the celebration was to foster closer ties among the staff and students amid the Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration.

Brusin Trading Company Sdn Bhd hosted a Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration at An-Naura Hall of Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Complex in the capital yesterday.
Brusin Trading Company’s Director Haji Mohd Sufian bin Haji Mohd Tahir, ICT Division Manager Giji George and staff welcomed the guests, including Territory Business Development Manager from Dell EMC Malaysia Bernard Kho.
In an interview, Haji Mohd Sufian said, “The celebration is our annual event to thank our customers and clients. It also serves to foster close ties among guests through face-to-face interactions.”
Meanwhile, Giji George said “This is the time for us to bring our customers and friends to celebrate Hari Raya Aidilfitri. Around 350 guests were invited to the celebration and we hoped that we could personally connect with our clients.”
