Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam (BIBD) marked the first quarterly prize presentation ceremony for its BIBD Aspirasi 7 campaign with a special Hari Raya edition that brought a festive spirit to the occasion. In celebration of the season of giving, a team from BIBD, led by Head of Retail Banking Junaidi bin Bahrum, visited the homes of selected winners residing in the Brunei-Muara District to personally present their prizes.
The home visits were made to quarterly prize winners, each receiving BND10,000, as well as to monthly winners who received BND1,000 each. The gesture added a personal and festive touch to the ceremony, while also celebrating the winners’ commitment to saving through BIBD Aspirasi.
Now in its seventh cycle, the BIBD Aspirasi campaign continues to highlight the importance and discipline of saving among Bruneians. Designed as a savings programme with a difference, BIBD Aspirasi rewards savers with the chance to win cash prizes, supporting their financial goals and aspirations.
For this year’s campaign, BIBD has removed the BND5 sign-up fee for new participants, making it easier and more accessible for everyone to begin their savings journey.
The initiative reflects BIBD’s commitment to financial inclusion, enabling more individuals to take control of their finances and plan for the future.
As with previous cycles, existing Aspirasi participants have been automatically rolled over into the new campaign, ensuring continuous eligibility for rewards while promoting long-term saving habits. Aspirasi’s distinctive rewards-based structure allows selected participants to walk away with significant cash prizes throughout the year – prizes that can help realise their personal and financial ambitions.
By incentivising saving in an engaging and inclusive manner, BIBD Aspirasi aligns with national efforts to strengthen financial literacy and promote overall financial well-being. The programme also supports the broader objectives under Brunei Vision 2035 and the Brunei Darussalam Central Bank (BDCB) Financial Sector Blueprint, reaffirming BIBD’s role as a Partner in Progress for the nation. BIBD extends its congratulations to all winners. BIBD Aspirasi 7 will continue throughout the year, offering more opportunities for participants to be rewarded simply for saving.
