The Ministry of Health (MoH), through the Department of Laboratory Services, announced the operating hours for service counters at the Blood Sampling Section, Specimen Receiving Centre as well as blood donation services at the Blood Donation Centre and Blood Bank at Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha (RIPAS), Suri Seri Begawan, Pengiran Muda Mahkota Pengiran Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah and Pengiran Isteri Hajjah Mariam Hospitals during Ramadhan.
The Blood Sampling Section and Specimen Receiving Centre will operate from 8am to 1.45pm on weekdays while RIPAS, Suri Seri Begawan and Pengiran Isteri Hajjah Mariam blood donation services will run from 8am to 1pm and the PMMPMHAMB Hospital blood donation services closed until further notice. Service counters will be closed on Fridays and Sundays, while laboratory sections will operate around the clock and maintain normal operating hours.
Meanwhile, RIPAS Blood Donation Centre will extend its services in the evening on April 5 organised by the centre, April 7 by KOSI (B) Sdn Bhd, April 9 by the Myanmar Association and April 11 by Medipharm Sdn Bhd.
The Brunei Darussalam Association of Medical Laboratory Scientists (BAMLS) will organise a blood donation drive at the centre on April 18, followed with Mc.Quipp Technisell Marketing Sdn Bhd on April 21. The blood donation drives will run from 8pm to 10pm.
Mobile campaigns will also be conducted at One City Shopping Centre in Sungai Hanching organised by imagine Sdn Bhd from 8pm to 10pm on April 15 and 16, and at D’Sunlit Sdn Bhd Beribi Industries on April 30 from 9am to 2pm.
