The Information Department, through its Nationalism Unit and Strategic Communications Division, held an ‘Our Monarch, Appreciating the National Flag and National Anthem of Brunei Darussalam’ briefing at Muda Hashim Secondary School, Tutong District yesterday.
The programme was part of an ongoing effort to instil a sense of love for the monarch, religion, race and the country.
It also aims to strengthen the spirit of solidarity and patriotism among students.
Some 119 students attended the briefing, joined by principal Radiman bin Haji Idris and teaching staff.
Head of the Nationalism Unit Hajah Noorhijrah binti Haji Idris spoke about the monarch, the procedure for hoisting the national flag and the history of the national anthem.
Students joined a quiz and the school’s Acting Deputy Principal of Administration Dina Safawanah binti Mohd Murat presented prizes to those who answered the questions correctly.
