The quarantine order (QO) under the Infectious Diseases Act is still being enforced, said Minister of Health Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar at the press conference yesterday, in addressing the possible confusion following the Ministry of Health’s (MoH) decision to cease issuing the digital QO on the BruHealth app starting on Friday.
The BruHealth code and the digital QO are two separate systems, the minister said. The system faced a number of problems in aligning the digital QO with the BruHealth code when the change was made in the quarantine duration from 14 days to five days.
“The BruHealth code can easily be changed. The colour can change back to green in five days if an individual tests negative,” said the minister, adding that the digital QO was ceased due to technical issues.
“But the QO still exists and is now aligned with the BruHealth code,” said the minister.
