Qari Haji Awang Muhammad Zul-Hafiz bin Awang Tengah and qariah Dayangku Fauziah Nadhirah binti Pengiran Haji Jofri left for Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia yesterday to participate in the 63rd International Quran Recitation and Memorisation Competition that will take place from August 19 to 24.
Accompanying the duo are Haji Abdul Hafeiz bin Haji Nuh as the guide and delegation manager, Dato Paduka Haji Md Yussop bin Bakar as the advisor and Pengiran Hajah Ommi Kalthum binti Pengiran Haji Abdul Razak as the female escort. Present at the Brunei International Airport to bid farewell were Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA) Haji Mohammad Rosli bin Haji Ibrahim, Head of the Islamic Propagation Division at the MoRA Awang Hassan Baha bin Haji Umar, Head of the Public and International Relations and MABIMS Division at the MoRA Haji Mohammad Albi bin Haji Ibrahim, Institute Tahfiz Al-Quran Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Principal Haji Amiruddin bin Pengiran Haji Damit along with officials from the MoRA. – Adib Noor
