Pusat Ehsan Al-Ameerah Al-Hajjah Maryam yesterday hosted a Hari Raya celebration for 120 students from the centre and family members, and paid tribute to regular donors of the centre.
The guest of honour was Malar Setia Group of Companies Managing Director Haji Abdul Rahman bin Haji Metassim.
Also gracing the event were members of the board of trustees, management committee members of Pusat Ehsan and donors.
The celebration was sponsored by Syarikat Perniagaan Malar Setia, a monthly contributor of kitchen items to the centre. Pusat Ehsan Senior Trustee Dato Paduka Alimin bin Haji Abdul Wahab in his remarks conveyed his gratitude to Syarikat Perniagaan Malar Setia and other long-time donors.
The ceremony also saw a donation to Pusat Ehsan, Society for the Management of Autism Related Issues in Training, Education and Resources (SMARTER) Brunei and Centre for Children with Special Needs (KACA) from Haji Abdul Rahman, Manager of Syarikat Perniagaan Malar Setia C I Lim and Manager of Syarikat Aewon Chia Tet Shin.
This was followed by a donation of BND5,000 from Anil Kumar Thoompail Sudhakran and Rohiniraj Pushparaj.
The celebration concluded with a presentation of green packets to the centre’s students.
