Pusar Ulak Religious School yesterday emerged as the winner of the Al-Falah Quiz Competition as part of the effort to strengthen understanding and promote excellence in religious subjects as well motivate Year 6 students ahead of the Religious Primary Schools Education Certificate examination (SSSRU).
The competition was open to Year 6 religious school students in Brunei Zone I and was held at Pengiran Anak Puteri Masna Religious School.
Meanwhile, Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Religious School came in second place and Pelambayan Religious School in third. Nuraliya Batrisya @ Qalisha binti Azri from Pusar Ulak Religious School was named the Best Participant.
Head of the Academic Unit, Religious School Division, Department of Islamic Studies at the Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA) Sunarty binti Ahmad presented prizes to the winners.
The quiz was conducted by the Committee of Religious School Leaders (JPPSSU) for Brunei Zone I.
The event was also one of the initiatives of the Religious School Division under the An-Najah programme to support the MoRA’s Strategic Plan 2020-2024. – Azlan Othman
